ATP2 - X-Y Antenna Pedestal

A rugged two-axis X-Y motion platform designed for precision, horizon-to-horizon pointing of dish antennas up to 4.5m diameter. The fully enclosed and sealed servo housings are completely maintenance-free, enabling it to be remotely deployed and controlled. Antrak engineers pioneered the X-Y concept more than ten years ago, and their considerable operational experience over that time is embodied in this latest generation pedestal - 100% in-field reliability record.

The system incorporates Antrak’s AMC1 two-axis motion controller with RS422 serial interface, accepting either simple ‘goto’ commands or alternatively complete time-tagged tracking tables which can be downloaded into its non-volatile memory. The AMC1 features built-in temperature and humidity control, and also sensors enabling these parameters to be remotely monitored. The AMC1 controller accepts GPS input for real-time tracking control.
